School Uniform
From September 2023, we will expect all learners (until the end of Year 11) to wear school uniform. Years 12, 13 and 14 will be able to wear their own clothes as long as they are sensible and appropriate for school (not revealing or dangerous).
The school uniform will not change – it will consist of:
-
black or grey trousers or tracksuit bottoms
-
black or grey skirt or shorts
-
white or royal blue polo neck t-shirt or round neck t-shirt
-
royal blue jumper, fleece or cardigan
-
black shoes, trainers or sturdy sandals (with back straps) for summer – no sliders or flip flops
-
blue and white gingham dress for summer, if preferred
We are mindful of the cost to parents/carers, so you have the choice of either the branded clothes from our uniform supplier or supermarket alternatives.
We have now finalized agreement with our new school uniform supplier - Personalise. They are a family run business based in Witham who have a store front open from Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm. Uniform can be tried on and purchased in the store or ordered online. They will assist with sizing and offer both a collection and delivery service.
Our other school uniform supplier is My Clothing. My Clothing are an online business with over 30 years of expertise. They offer a delivery service which is usually within 14 days.
You now have four types of uniform on offer:
-
Unbranded uniform can be purchased from local suppliers and supermarkets
-
Unbranded uniform can be purchased from local suppliers/supermarkets and have a logo added by Personalise. This is carried out at a cost of £4.75 per item.
-
Branded uniform can be purchased as it is now from My Clothing (Tesco’s)
-
Higher quality branded uniform can be purchased from Personalise
We hope that this variety of options will support all our families to be able to provide their children with affordable, nice school uniform in September. Please also remember that FOEBS have a selection of pre-loved uniform which is always very welcome in school.
